• Busser

    As a Busser, who is part of our Front of House Staff, you are responsible for setting and resetting the dining room tables. Assist with clearing tables, refilling water, serving bread, restocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware.

    • Resets tables according to specifications of the restaurant.
    • Removes plates and silverware when all guests have finished
    • Sets up and breaks down dining room for each shift.
    • Maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
    • Performs all opening and closing side work as required.
    • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.
    • Understand dining room service procedures.
    • Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
    • Problem solving abilities

    MUST be able to transport up to 50 lbs on occasion and up to 35 lbs regularly.

  • Casino Cleaner

    A Casino Cleaner’s responsibility is to support the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the overall appearance of the Mineral Palace Property. The cleanliness of the property is a critical part of ensuring customer satisfaction and leaving a good impression. This position must be able to work independently as well as with others.

    • Clean Casino
    • Polish furniture, fixtures, and slot machines.
    • Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
    • Gather and empty trash.
    • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming them.
    • Service, clean, and supply restrooms in the casino AS WELL as the Gem Steakhouse.
    • Clean hotel hallways, employee break rooms, back halls, meeting room, and upstairs offices.

    ALWAYS carry a radio to answer calls for cleaning requests.

    ALWAYS notify managers concerning the need for major repairs.

    LIFTING REQUIREMENT: Up to 50 lbs.

     

     

  • Dealer
    *THIS POSITION REQUIRES A SOUTH DAKOTA GAMING LICENSE*
    • Shuffle and deal cards as required for the blackjack play or any other assigned game.
    • Apply knowledge of dealing procedures including house rules so as to preserve the security and integrity of games.
    • Maintain chip tray at table in orderly fashion.
    • Notify supervisor of any irregularities or customer concerns in a timely manner.
    • Answer questions or inquiries from patrons.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by an immediate supervisor or any manager.
    • Excellent customer service skills.

     

    Dealers are NOT allowed to play ANY card games in the Mineral palace or deal to ANY immediate family members.

  • Floor Supervisor – Graveyard
    *THIS POSITION REQUIRES A SD KEY GAMING LICENSE*

    The main goal of the Floor Supervisor is to oversee gaming staff including circulating among casino tables and observing operations to ensure that all stations and games are covered for each shift, and that everyone adheres to the rules of the games.

    The Floor Supervisor is in charge on every shift and works directly with the management staff on duty. The Floor Supervisor has a wide range of general responsibilities on a day-to-day basis which may include supervision of all staff members in the absence of management such as desk clerks, hotel staff, maintenance staff, bartenders, cocktail waitresses, blackjack dealers, restaurant staff, parking attendants, shuttle drivers, etc. You must be able to deal with employee issues and communicate with relevant managers.

    A CURRENT GAMING LICENSE AND NAME TAG MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES

    The Floor Supervisor must upheld and maintain:

  • Host/Hostess

    As a Host/Hostess that is part of our Front of House staff, you must be able to work with the public, wait staff and bussing staff. All employees will be courteous and respectful wot everyone that they work with.

    • Answers incoming telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Effectively seats entire dining room.
    • Practices complete guest service by greeting and welcoming guests.
    • Possess knowledge of food and beverages being served.
    • Able to properly set up tables.
    • Understand mechanics of service and can arrange tables for large parties.
    • Maintains a clean and organized host area.
    • Ensures that there are plenty of menus for service period.
    • Appears and acts in a professional manner.
    • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
    • Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash at the registers.

    Dress Code: We will NOT be providing any sort of uniform, but the Host/Hostess is REQUIRED to dress in your own clothing that is professional.

  • Housekeeper

    Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel.

    • Servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures.
    • Stocking cart with room supplies.
    • Replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies.
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
    • Ability to bend lift and be standing/walking all day.
      • (LIFTING REQUIREMENT: 30lbs)

    You must be able to operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, maintain facilities in a sanitary condition and report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)

  • Line Cook

    Line Cooks are responsible for preparing assigned food items. They must follow the recipes and the portion control guidelines set by the food establishment.

    • Set up their stations and restocking items.
    • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
    • Restock all items as needed throughout shifts.
    • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
    • Understand and have knowledge to properly use and maintain equipment in station.
    • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
    • Possess basic cooking skills
    • Possess basic understanding of how to use food service equipment.
      • (Knives, Pots and Pans, ovens and grills, food processors and slicers.
    • Understand and have knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
    • Have some sort of experience in prep or line cook.
    • Team Oriented
    • Problem Solving Ability.

    REQUIRED to be Serv-Safe Certified within 60 days after hire date.

     

  • Maintenance

    It is your responsibility to support the Maintenance Manager in maintaining overall appearance and working order of the Mineral Palace Property. This position must be able to work independently and as well as with others. The position requires overall maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment, tool usage, drywall, plumbing and minor electrical. Ability to perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment under general supervision.

    • Perform repair or general maintenance work of facilities, builidings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.
    • Repairing and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walks, carpets, and roofs.
    • Performing minor repair and troubleshooting.
    • Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment.
    • Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining sidewalks and parking areas, snow removal.
    • Assisting other departments in accomplishing their duties to maintain the integrity of our company in the eyes of our guests.

     

     

  • Players Club Attendant
    *THIS POSITION REQUIRES A SD GAMING LICENSE*

    A Players Club Representative plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience at our casino. This position is responsible for managing player accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that all guests feel valued and engaged. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a knack for conflict management, and a passion for the gaming industry.

    • Assist guests with inquiries regarding their Players Club accounts and benefits.
    • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balance cash drawer.
    • Provide outstanding guest services by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
    • Supervise the Players Club area to ensure a welcoming environment for all patrons.
    • Manage promotional events and activities to enhance player engagement and loyalty.
    • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions using basic math skills.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the casino.
    • Train and mentor new staff members on customer service protocols and operational procedures.
    • Experience in guest services or customer service roles, preferably in a casino environment.
    • A passion for the gaming industry and commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and required for business needs.

     

     

  • Server

    Servers must be able to work with the public, hosts, cooks, and bussing staff to meet this goal. All employees will be courteous and respectful to everyone that they work with.

    • Full knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
    • Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities and marketing promotions.
    • Review any changes to menu and/or specials.
    • Greet and seat guests.
    • Bus tables as necessary.
    • Independent Cashier.
    • Prepare and/or deliver guests beverage orders.
    • Promptly deliver guests food ensuring quality and accuracy.
    • Attend to guest during their ENTIRE dining experience.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge area.
    • Required to be responsible to work with till and turn in balanced.
    • Follow all Mineral Palace departmental safety policies and procedures.
    • Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
    • Required to be dressed in uniform.

  • Valet

    Valet Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and leave the hotel. Valet Drivers must have strong and analytical and navigational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple pick-ups and drop-offs on a schedule under continuously changing circumstances.

    A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD IS REQUIRED

    • Provide claim check and instruct guest on how to reclaim vehicle.
    • Park guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Retrieve guest vehicles from specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Provide travel directions and information on property events and promotions.
    • Obey ALL traffic laws on and off property.
    • Promote the courteous treatment of customers and resolving guest service issues. Ensuring you are ready to go at all times to guarantee customer has minimal wait time.
    • Provide timely & knowledgable service; and then some!
    • Greet arriving and departing guests. Opens passenger door(s) and offer assistance.
    • Assist hotel guests with their luggage

    • Required to be in company uniform at ALL times.
    • Driving guests to designated locations
    • NO cell phone usage permitted while on shift.
    • Assist Front Desk with certain operations.
